Advanced Professional Certificate in Company Secretarial

The company secretary is responsible for the efficient administration of a company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented.

Our Advanced Certificate in Company Secretarial therefore aims at equipping participants with understanding of how industries and sectors are regulated in Ghana and improve their skills in offering relevant and reliable advice to the Board and management of organizations with respect to the complex legal requirements that necessitates the firm’s compliance.

 

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a first degree in social science, humanities or a Diploma or HND in a related field. Note that Senior High School leavers can also apply to do the introductory course of this programme.

 

Delivery Method

Lectures, PowerPoint, Role play, group presentation and virtual classrooms

 

Timelines

The programme will run for a duration of 4 months. Our regular schedule for this programme is week day morning sessions (9 am to 3pm GMT) and week day Evening classes (6pm to 8 pm GMT) twice a week. There will also schedules for the Weekend class based on the number of applicants.

Our training schedules could also be tailor made to fit the time schedules of companies and   institutions who want to register their staff as a group for the programme.

 

Modules 

Participants are required to complete all modules of the programme in order to receive a certificate. Each session will follow the order in which the modules appear below. Essential reading materials will be provided by the institute. Sources for acquiring recommended reading materials will be made available on our website and/or announced during the session.

Course Fees

Participants are required to pay GH¢ 3,650.00 for the programme. Application for the introductory course will be GH¢ 1,850.00. Participants can also buy snacks and meals from our in-house kitchen.
